Barrons may be the unsaid prescribed book for GRE,but a dictionary's very useful as well.I prepared from 2 dictionaries for my exam-Babylon and Advanced English Dictionary(AED).Babylon runs on Windows XP while Advanced English Dictionary is for Symbian(Nokia) phones. As I own a N70,AED came in pretty useful.I used to study wordlists on the terrace, and AED came in useful countless number of times.I recommend these 2 softwares fpr anyone taking on the GRE.
Here's a short description of the two(whats a post worth without a description anyway :) ):

Advanced English Dictionary:
http://www.jdictionary-mobile.com/aed_for_uiq.html
This is undoubtedly the BEST mobile dictionary I've ever seen-with an amazing interface,AED 4 is simply packed with superb features. The software that occupies 6 MB on your mobile contains 1.4 million+ words, from both American and British context.State of the art compression technology compresses the info and keeps the software as small as possible.

• Screen shot (result for 'sleeper' (kind of spy)) The word 'sleeper' has 8 different meanings, but only 1 meaning is shown which is related to 'spy' (remember, this result has been linked from 'spy'). Advanced English Dictionary will warn you that there may be more meanings available. If you would like to see all the definitions for 'sleeper' just tap the headword. |
So I daresay this software is a must if you're going to take the GRE(and you're lucky enough to own a Nokia phone).
