3D Sound! You gotta see this(or hear it,I mean)

Hell. You gotta hear this sound file.I got this accidentally while searching for mp3s.All you need is a pair of good earphones or headphones.I'll be having this file in my Transcend player,if you need a demo.Any of the empty classrooms in our department will do for the testing area :)

Seems this has been recorded using a technology called Binaural Sound Technique.
Quote Wikipedia:

Binaural recording is a method of recording audio which uses a special microphone arrangement. Dummy head recording refers to a specific method of capturing the audio, generally using a bust.

The term "binaural" has often been confused as a synonym for the word "stereo", and this is partially due to a large amount of misuse in the mid-1950s by the recording industry, as a marketing buzzword. Conventional stereo recordings do not factor in natural crossfeed or sonic shaping of the head and ear, since these things happen naturally as a person listens, generating their own ITDs (interaural time differences) and ILDs (interaural level differences).Unquote.

I don't recommend this for the weak of the heart.(You'd be amazed by "right next to you" and the phone ringing effect. The former made me jump and the latter reach out for the phone).
