The Phoenix resurrects-DotSis is back

The King of mobile downloads is back,and is better than ever! DotSis made a comeback after going offline in the first week of October for then unknown reasons.Quite a decent number of sites popped up soon after,to claim themselves as the "new DotSis" and consequently proving themselves to be spurious."What happened to Dotsis?"That was the $64 million question.There was no news or announcement from the owner of the original site and DotSis was ergo thought to be lost forever.The apparent truth was hard to digest for DotSis members as the site was esteemed to be the best among mobile-download sites.
Come December and with it came DotSis!The site apparently suffered a server change(which was imminent due to the large number of visitors)thus taking time to shift to its new home.However,the speed hasn't improved by even a considerable notch which is unusual.I guess that's something we have to put up with;a site(and a very good one at that) being back in these hard times after a two month hiatus should be enough for the site's members to live with.

Yeah,dotsis is back!

What happened to DotSis?

I was searching the World Wide Web yet again for some(any!!) news about DotSis,while an interesting search result came up in Yahoo Answers.I always say that Y! Answers is worth its salt as long as you want something trivial;it could help you find some great links or information you might be fishing for,but I never take it too seriously and am inclined to take a critical view of it.According to this search,DotSis is back again with a bang in the form of a new forum,the URL of which you'll NOT find here simply for the reason that ITS A FAKE(if you still want to know the forum's URL,head to the Y! answers URL I've given above).

The forum claims that it has been formed ad hoc to replace the old DotSis.com.Ecstatic on seeing this,I started going through the sub forums...and found it be contrast in toto to the original site.There were very few posts,let alone useful ones;moreover,the number of registered users was so meagre a number that it I found myself laughing mirthlessly!So much for my temporal ecstasy.

And then,I saw the truth.It was a fact that DotSis evanished during the first week of October(update me if I'm incorrect)..And this so called Resurrected DotSis forum had posts starting right from March 2007.Several users have asked whether this was the new DotSiS,all of which have gone unanswered(though not unnoticed,I'll say).The forum owners(probably) have also been posting all over the net that this is the new site.My advice:Don't believe it and join.That would be an insult to the real site.There's been no info on what really happened yet;and no news is hopefully good news.

What happened to DotSis? Where is DotSis?

Dotsis,a transcendental site for mobile downloads seems to have suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth.The site which boasts of a 30,000 member strength,started experiencing problems a few days back.This unfortunately happened to coincide with the time when Demonoid,a torrent site,was taken down by Canadian Cyber authorities as a check against piracy.Rumours ran agog on the cyber world that Dotsis had faced a similar nemesis owing to the fact that most of the software hosted on the site was illegal.Dotsis users,being aficionados that they are,ranted and raved as they found themselves suddenly denied of the site dear to their heart,yours truly being no exception.

However,there has been no official report that the site has been TAKEN DOWN by the CRIA or RIAA(the soul reavers of Demonoid,ha ha).No information has yet come from the site administrators or the owner(who got married 2 weeks back).So there's very less chance that the site has fallen victim to the suddenly stringent cybercrime division,given the fact that official reports about Demonoid's decommission were issued in a very short time.

So where is dotsis?

On the other hand,according to current discussions,Dotsis is now going through a Server upgrade(which it badly requires considering the uncanny amount of traffic the site gets) and ergo will be back in a week...Well,as the adage goes,Lets hope for the best!
